MRSA Memo

This year there has been an increase of reported cases of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) in schools across the nation. Our school district wants to do everything possible to protect students and staff from MRSA skin infections. Please report any confirmed cases of MRSA to our school nurse, Teresa Block. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has provided a concise summary of guidelines on how to prevent the spread of MRSA. This information is online at: http://www.cdc.gov/Features/MRSAInSchools/ If you do not have access to a computer please contact your child's principal or me, and we will print a copy for you.

If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank You!
